1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SirHENRY ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
If you use the desktop application, it presents a separate, shorter Terms of Use that you accept inside the app, and a record of that acceptance is kept on your device. Those terms govern your use of the installed application; this page describes the same product in more detail and governs your use of this website. Where the two differ for the installed app, the terms you accepted in the app control.
2. Description of Service
SirHENRY is financial software that organizes your financial data and computes figures from it — budgets, tax estimates, retirement projections, portfolio analysis, insurance gap analysis and filing deadlines. Those figures are calculated by formulas, not produced by a language model. Each one can be traced to the inputs it used, and the rules behind it cite their source, such as an Internal Revenue Code section or an IRS publication.
A language model (Anthropic’s Claude) is used for a specific and limited set of features, listed in section 4. Where those features mention a figure, the figure comes from the same calculations described above.
The Service operates on a local-first architecture. Your financial data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database and is not centralized on our servers.
3. Not Financial, Tax, or Investment Advice
This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.
SirHENRY is not a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), an Enrolled Agent (EA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a licensed insurance agent, a broker-dealer, or any other type of licensed financial professional. SirHENRY does not hold any financial licenses or registrations and does not serve in a fiduciary capacity.
All information, analysis, projections, strategies, and educational content provided through the Service are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute and should not be construed as professional financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, legal advice, insurance advice, or any other form of professional counsel.
You should always consult with qualified, licensed professionals — including but not limited to a CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax attorney for tax matters; a Registered Investment Advisor or Certified Financial Planner for investment and financial planning matters; and a licensed insurance agent for insurance matters — before making any financial decisions based on information provided by the Service.
Tax estimates, retirement projections, portfolio allocation comparisons, insurance gap analyses, scenario affordability assessments, and all other outputs are approximations based on the data you provide and general assumptions. They may not reflect your complete financial situation, and they should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any financial decision.
4. Where a language model is used, and where it is not
A language model (Anthropic’s Claude) is used for these features, and only these:
- sorting your transactions into spending categories — your own corrections are kept and are never overwritten by a later run;
- answering questions in the Sir HENRY chat;
- writing the summaries in reports and import recaps;
- describing tax strategies and scenarios, and suggesting categorization rules for you to approve.
The model does not calculate your money. Dollar amounts, percentages, projections and deadlines are computed by the Service’s own formulas; where a model-written sentence mentions a figure, that figure was produced by those formulas and handed to it.
Language-model output can still be wrong: it may summarize inaccurately, omit something relevant to you, or describe a rule that does not apply to your situation. Calculations can also be wrong if the information you entered is incomplete, or if a tax rule, rate or price has changed since it was last confirmed — the Service shows the date each such input was last confirmed. Verify anything you intend to act on. Henry Financial, Inc. makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any output.
5. User Data and Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the financial data you enter into the Service. The quality of the Service's analysis depends directly on the data you provide. Inaccurate or incomplete data will produce inaccurate results.
You own your data. Because the Service uses a local-first architecture, your financial data is stored on your device. You may delete your data at any time by removing the local database. See our Privacy Policy for more details on how your data is handled.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services, each of which is subject to its own terms and privacy policies:
- Plaid — Used for bank account and financial institution connectivity. Subject to Plaid's Terms of Service.
- Anthropic (Claude) — provides the language model behind the four features named in section 4, and chat features. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Yahoo Finance — Provides market data and security pricing. To price a holding, the ticker symbol of that holding is sent to Yahoo Finance. Ticker symbols identify securities you own. No account numbers, balances, share counts, or personal details are sent.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Henry Financial, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or financial losses, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
Without limiting the foregoing, Henry Financial, Inc. shall not be liable for any financial losses resulting from decisions made based on information, analysis, projections, or recommendations provided by the Service, including model-written text. You acknowledge that you use the Service and act on its outputs at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Henry Financial, Inc. does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components; that any data, projections, or analysis will be accurate or complete; or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.
9. Intellectual Property
The SirHENRY name, branding, logo, design, and software code are the property of Henry Financial, Inc. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without prior written consent.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. You may stop using the Service and delete your local data at any time.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
